‘Good News’

This year’s film festival is dedicated to ‘Good News’.  Bad – and false – news about violence, destruction of the environment and political wrongdoing is constantly being reported. That is why it is so important for us to also focus on good every now and again. Not in order to practice positive thinking, but to show that wherever evil grows, good always grows too. Humaneness, a readiness to help. The will to oppose the wrong. Good news comes from a full human pioneering spirit. From that comes finding a solution to a problem. Good News starts with human perseverance against resistance; with the ability to see the beautiful; with the faith in a better future; with the chance to change oneself or the path of history; to make the world better, even if only in small steps.  Whoever doesn’t start has already given up. All of these things should be reflected in our films and discussions this year.

We warmly invite you to come!
