The state’s major film festivals – the FilmFestival Cottbus (FFC), the PROVINZIALE – Filmfest Eberswalde and the FILM OHNE GRENZEN Festival – are jointly setting up an attractive festival cinema offering at cinemas and film clubs as well as at associations, clubs and educational institutions under the umbrella of „5×4 – Brandenburger Festivalkino“. With the support of its sponsor Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, „5×4 – Brandenburger Festivalkino” promotes film culture, intercultural competence and open dialogue and stands for the film country of Brandenburg with regional themes and international perspectives. „ With these five film programmes, the country’s major public festivals are demonstrating their strengths and competencies”, says Denis Demmerle, project manager of 5×4 – Brandenburger Festivalkino“. With SYSTEMSPRENGER by Nora Fingscheidt, the new brand „5×4 – Brandenburger Festivalkino” presented a film of its program selection for the first time at the Lausitzer AutoKinoFestival in Cottbus.
