INTERNATIONAL RESIDENCE PROGRAM BERLIN-BRANDENBURG : WOLFGANG KOHLHAASE Scholarship

The FILM WITHOUT BORDERS Festival is delighted to be able to offer you as a filmmaker a unique funding program in cooperation with the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, the Antonius Association for Youth and Cultural Promotion and Lupa Film GmbH.

Feature and documentary film projects, especially in their early phase, are reliant on support in terms of finance and content development. Inspiration and energy, tranquility and financial independence are required to succeed on the rocky road from idea to film.

Berlin has become a magnet for international creative artists since the reunification of Germany. The WOLFGANG KOHLHAASE Scholarship builds on this international spirit and addresses international film makers who would like to discover Berlin and Brandenburg, as well as filmmakers who are based in Berlin or Brandenburg and would like to develop international film projects.

The support measure amounts to 12,000 € and includes a three-month stay on the Eibenhof estate in Bad Saarow.

During the FILM WITHOUT BORDERS Festival the projects supported by the programme will be presented.

The submitted treatments will be judged and selected by a top-class jury.
