In the traditional Sunday talk, Gero von Boehm talks with actor and author Christian Berkel, who has a unique perspective on humanity, not least because of his extraordinary family history. His autofictional books show great empathy and a deep humanistic worldview. In his latest novel, Sputnik, Christian Berkel tells the stirring and touching story of his childhood and youth: a story of conflict, departure and cutting the apron strings, which shows that without the past, we will never understand who we are.
Against the backdrop of this year’s festival motto, von Boehm and Berkel will discuss ‘The Art of Being Human’.
