MARZAHN MON AMOUR
Kathi Grabowski is in her mid-forties and stuck: her career as a writer has stagnated, her marriage is over and her daughter is traveling the world. In search of a new start, she returns to Marzahn and begins working as a pedicurist in a beauty salon. There she meets unconventional customers, old acquaintances and new colleagues – and discovers a world full of life, dignity and warmth in the midst of everyday life and corneas.
With quiet humor and a clear view, the series tells the story of a woman who starts anew – and opens up a human, cliché-free world in the process. At the festival we show part 1 of the serial.
“A series with heart and attitude – cleverly observed and superbly acted.” (Berliner Zeitung)
Followed by a discussion with actress Jördis Triebel and book author Katja Oskamp.
