Rio de Janeiro, 1950: Euridice and her older sister Guida grow up well protected in a strict household. The talented Euridice finds in her older sister the support she desperately needs in a patriarchal society. While Guida encourages her little sister to seriously pursue her dream of a life as a professional pianist, she also always confides in her about her latest romantic adventures. However, when she runs away to Greece with her boyfriend and returns months later pregnant and without a husband, she is disowned by the family: her father treats her like a leper and explains that her sister has moved to Vienna to study music. Euridice, he keeps in the dark about her sister’s whereabouts. Will the two sisters ever find their way back to each other?
