Venues

The main venue for FILM OHNE GRENZEN is the Eibenhof culture barn in Bad Saarow, surrounded by water. For four days, the idyllic estate on the Scharmützelsee peninsula will be transformed into a festival site. Regional food and drink stands offer the audience a varied culinary offering during the festival days. Another venue is the nearby cinema in the centre of beautiful Bad Saarow. You can easily reach the Cinema by Velotel with the festival shuttle or by bike on a 15-minute tour along the lake. Rental bikes are available on the festival site or at the local bike hire shop directly at the railway station (see Arrival).

The Eibenhof, a historic estate on the shores of Scharmützelsee serves as a cultural center with a variety of events. The extensive grounds extend over a peninsula and include an event barn, a riding arena and boat moorings, and its idyllic atmosphere contributes significantly to the special flair of the festival.

The history of the Eibenhof dates back to the 15th century. After the Second World War, the cultural association of the GDR took over the estate, which served as a recreation and conference venue for cultural workers. Between 2005 and 2008, the Eibenhof was renovated under new ownership in line with its listed status and turned into a versatile event venue.
