THE LOST KING ist ein unglaubliches Filmdrama von Stephen Frears, das 2022 beim Toronto International Film Festival seine Premiere feierte. Der Film erz\u00e4hlt die wahre Geschichte von der Entdeckung der sterblichen \u00dcberreste des englischen K\u00f6nigs Richard III. durch die Amateurhistorikerin Philippa Langley im Jahr 2012.<\/p>

Philippa Langley, eine zierliche, chronisch kranke, alleinerziehende Mutter aus Edinburgh , macht sich auf die Suche nach dem Grab von K\u00f6nig Richard III. Nach einem Besuch bei einer Auff\u00fchrung von Shakespeares \u201eRichard III.\u201c ist die sch\u00fcchterne Frau fasziniert von dem gut \u00a0aussehenden Schauspieler, der den K\u00f6nig spielt. Und pl\u00f6tzlich hat sie eine Mission, die ihr Leben umkrempeln und die Geschichte ver\u00e4ndern wird: Richards Grab zu finden und seinen Ruf als buckligen Neffenm\u00f6rder und unw\u00fcrdigen Usurpator zu widerlegen. Eine fast \u00fcberw\u00e4ltigende Aufgabe f\u00fcr eine Frau, die mitten in einer Scheidung steckt. Doch Philippa, selbst ein wenig verloren, f\u00fchlt sich dem verleumdeten Monarchen verbunden, verschlingt Geschichtsb\u00fccher und sucht nach der Wahrheit. Als sie \u00fcber einen Parkplatz in Leicester l\u00e4uft, ist sie absolut sicher, dass Richards Grab dort zu finden ist. Sie beginnt Spenden zu sammeln, um die Ausgrabung des Gel\u00e4ndes in Auftrag zu geben, was schlie\u00dflich zur Entdeckung der \u00dcberreste von Richard III. f\u00fchrt. Eine wahre und absolut unglaubliche Geschichte!<\/p>
