Schulleiter Kevin McArevey \u2013 ein Stoiker, der zu Elvis Presley singt \u2013 bringt den Status quo ins Wanken. Indem er Jungen in einer \u201ePost-Konflikt-Zone\u201c in Philosophie unterrichtet, ver\u00e4ndert er die Schule und die Gemeinschaft. Der Film zeichnet den Traum des Schulleiters und seines vision\u00e4ren Teams nach und zeigt, wie kritisches Denken und seelsorgerische Betreuung Kinder bef\u00e4higen und ermutigen k\u00f6nnen, \u00fcber die Grenzen und Beschr\u00e4nkungen ihrer eigenen Gemeinschaft hinauszublicken.<\/p>\n<p>Wir sehen, wie die Philosophie sie dazu ermutigen kann, die Mythologien von Krieg und Gewalt zu hinterfragen und die Narrative ihrer Gemeinschaft infrage zu stellen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eYoung Plato\u201c wirft ein positives Licht auf das heutige Nordirland und bietet ein Modell f\u00fcr den Aufbau einer Friedenskultur in diesen unruhigen Zeiten.
