Ticket sales for the 12th International FILM ONE GRENZEN Festival have begun. More than 20 selected feature and documentary films reflect various perspectives on this year's festival theme, NOW. Filmmakers, scientists, and experts are invited to the panel discussions.

The festival day opens with the grand dame of European cinema, Hanna Schygulla. Together with her colleagues, filmmaker Tilman König, designer Veronika Urban, and author Ulrike Werner, she will present the touching documentary DENKSTE PUPPE (Sept 12, 3:30 PM).

Welcoming speakers of the 12th FILM WITHOUT BORDERS Festival are Professor Dr. Jörg Steinbach, Minister for Economics, Labor and Energy of the State of Brandenburg, and Prof. Dr. Dr. Michel Friedman, publicist and philosopher. The Minister of Economics will speak on September 12 at 5:30 p.m. ahead of Knut Elstermann's reading. Michel Friedman will give his speech at 7:15 p.m., followed by the cinema preview of FROM Hilde, WITH LOVE. Following the film, there will be a film discussion with director Andreas Dresen and actresses Liv Lisa Fries and Sina Martens.
