For the first time in Germany, a selection of films from the ‚CineSAR Special Selection‘ will be shown, which touchingly highlight the urgency of necessary environmental measures!

FILM OHNE GRENZEN is pleased to announce its cooperation with the Sustainability Animation Residency (SAR) initiative. The focus of the future collaboration will be on the presentation of ecological animated short films and panel discussions during the film festival in Bad Saarow.

Filmmaker Corentin Cholley, this year's SAR award winner out of a total of 21 competition films, presents his project „The Vanishing of the animals.“.

Joana Schliemann, Co-founder of SAR: „With these extraordinary animated films, the SAR team wants to raise awareness for the environmental emergency. Through the partnership with FILM WITHOUT BORDERS, SAR aims to expand its audience to Germany, thereby offering young animators a broader platform, visibility, and impact.“

SAR was founded in collaboration between Schliemann Residency Provence and MIYU Distribution, with support from Do Not Disturb, to amplify the urgency of environmental action with the powerful medium of animation.
