Berlin, 1942. Hilde falls in love with Hans, who is involved in resistance circles. She herself is rather timid, but with growing courage she takes part in the actions of a group later to be known as the „Red Orchestra.“ It is the most wonderful summer of her life. As it draws to a close, everyone is arrested. And Hilde is eight months pregnant.

IN LOVE, YOUR HILDE is based on the true story of Hilde and Hans Coppi. The film tells a nearly timeless, powerful love story about decency and resistance, intuition and civil courage, dignity and fear. The drama touches the audience through its uncompromising closeness to its female protagonist – radical and without pathos, Liv Lisa Fries plays Hilde Coppi as a strong, silent heroine. At her side, Johannes Hegemann can be seen in his feature film debut as Hans Coppi.
