MARZAHN MON AMOUR + READING + FILM TALK

Performance in the Eibenhof culture barn

Preliminary program:
Reading with the author Katja Oskamp from „Marzahn, on amour - stories of a chiropodist“

„Warm-hearted without ever becoming kitschy - and surprisingly political.“ (taz)

MARZAHN,MONAMOUR
Kathi Grabowski is in her mid-forties and stuck: her career as a writer has stagnated, her marriage is over and her daughter is traveling the world. In search of a fresh start, she returns to Marzahn and begins working as a pedicurist in a beauty salon. There she meets unconventional customers, old acquaintances and new colleagues - and discovers a world full of life, dignity and warmth in the midst of everyday life and while working on other people's feet.

With gentle humor and a clear view, the series tells the story of a woman who starts anew - and in doing so opens up a human, cliché-free world.

Episode 1 of the series can be seen at the film festival.

„A series with heart and attitude - cleverly observed and superbly acted.“ (Berliner Zeitung)

Subsequently Conversation with actress Jördis Triebel and author Katja Oskamp.
