WE COULD BE JUST AS GOOD AS DEAD Film screening as part of the festival opening 2022

Screening in the Gut Eibenhof culture barn

Security officer Anna lives with her daughter Iris in a luxuriously appointed high-rise at the edge of the forest. Living here, shielded from the threatening environment, is the goal of many people. But when the caretaker Gerti's dog disappears, fear creeps under the doorstep into the house. Iris is convinced that her evil eye is responsible for the dog's disappearance. To disabuse Iris of this belief, Anna begins searching for the missing dog. However, the neighbors find Anna's behavior more than suspicious: they are convinced that Gerti's dog died a violent death. When Anna tries to bring the neighbors to their senses, an investigation is launched against her. The pressure mounts and Anna's situation becomes increasingly hopeless. How far is she willing to go to ensure that she and her daughter can stay in the building?
