Six-week memorial service – grief, farewell, and quiet humor

In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, a 25-year-old loses her mother and returns to her hometown to organize a proper farewell service. Along the way, her grief collides with isolation, bureaucracy, and a world that has completely unraveled. With Sechswochenamt, director Jacqueline Jansen has created a film that, according to Knut Elstermann, „sparkles with subtle humor and quiet wisdom“ and invites viewers to look at the end of life from a different perspective.
