A doctor from Lima is still working in hospital, a sexologist in New York is still receiving clients. On the other side of the world, a sprightly Norwegian is still helping to breed lambs and a distinguished Dutchman is fanatically working on an online platform for human rights. What do they have in common? They have all passed their 100th birthday.

In this documentary, seven colorful centenarians give an insight into their lives today and their rich past. All of them are still very active, even though the clock is ticking, their bodies sometimes no longer play along and some are worried about the future of the world.

German-Peruvian filmmaker Heddy Honigmann visits these elderly citizens of the world and asks them about life. What do they expect from life? Each tells their story in their own way, sometimes with humor, sometimes with a touch of melancholy, but always with the wisdom reserved only for the oldest among us.
