23-year-old Khatera from Afghanistan was abused by her father for years. Now she wants to bring him to justice. A harrowing report on the extraordinary courage of a woman.

Khatera is involuntarily pregnant. By her own father, who repeatedly raped and beat her. She does not want the child, but she is not allowed to have an abortion in Afghanistan either. The documentary follows Khatera's fight against Afghanistan's corrupt legal system to report her father. After receiving death threats from her uncles, she is forced into hiding with her mother and daughter. The judge accuses her of lying, and her own brothers accuse her of bringing shame upon the family.

Filmmaker Sahra Mani, herself an Afghan, tells the story of Katheras with incredible intimacy in a country where women are systematically oppressed.
