«Look, otter poop!, shouts one of the boys cruising through the marsh in a small boat. The oldest of them is currently pulling a young swan out of the thicket. After pouncing on it, he releases it again and, a short time later, dives beneath the water's surface with a newly caught fish in his mouth. The Enaches have always been at home here, nine children and their parents—in a cabin in the wilderness of the Bucharest Delta. But when the government declares the urban delta a nature reserve, the family is forcibly relocated to the city and confronted with a reality completely foreign to them.

Radu Ciorniciuc's heartbreaking debut is a thoughtful study of gentrification, seen through the eyes of a family trying to adapt to the new life they never wanted.
