Rosalie is a young woman in 1870s France. However, she is no ordinary young woman, but hides a secret: since birth, her face and body have been covered in hair. She is what is called a bearded lady, but she never wanted to be a typical sideshow freak. Out of fear of rejection, she was always forced to shave. Until the day Abel, a debt-ridden cafe owner, marries her for her dowry without knowing her secret. But Rosalie wants to be seen as a woman, despite her differences, which she no longer wants to hide. Will Abel be able to love her once he discovers the truth?
