The Margot Friedländer Project Prize honors initiatives that are committed and sustainable advocates for tolerance, humanity, freedom, democracy, and a vibrant culture of remembrance.
The reason for the nomination is: „For 14 years, the non-profit association Film ohne Grenzen has been organizing an international film festival as well as educational projects for young people in Brandenburg. Through the medium of film, the association advocates for human dignity, humanity, and solidarity, and takes a stand against antisemitism and xenophobia. Especially in rural areas, Film ohne Grenzen creates low-threshold access to a culture of remembrance, democratic education, and social dialogue.“
