There were many questions from the audience during the panel discussion on the documentary „How wars end and peace is possible“. The panelists were Daniel Gerlach, Middle East expert and editor-in-chief of zenith, and Jobst Knigge, director of the film. Together with Katrin Sandmann (TV producer) and Wolfgang Bergmann (ARTE director), they discussed the conditions and opportunities for sustainable peace - and the responsibility of the media, politics and society to actively shape this process.
The film and the subsequent discussion showed impressively that peace is not a state, but an ongoing process that requires courage, empathy and humanity. The audience responded with great interest and many questions - a morning full of food for thought and hope.
