Ane and Thomas are at a turning point in their lives: After many years together, they want to break up. However, they cannot even agree on the right time to tell their two daughters about this sad change. Shortly before Thomas is about to move in with his new girlfriend, Ane suffers a stroke that changes everything. Ane and he decide to keep living together until Ane has recovered. While she fiercely fights to win back her old self, both must face the new reality. In doing so, they find hope where they least expect it.
