People worldwide are using AI services to bring the dead „back to life.“ In their documentary, Hans Block and Moritz Riesewieck accompany these people and early users of a technology that aims to make death obsolete.

The inventors reject any responsibility for the profound psychological consequences, while numerous competitors hope for a lucrative market. The film shows curious, amusing, and disturbing encounters with the digital undead and asks the questions: Do we want this? Who takes responsibility for the psychological and ethical consequences? Is this the beginning of the end of finitude?
