„The positive energy of the protagonists is as contagious as it is inspiring and makes you want even more Special Olympics!

Four athletes from different countries live with intellectual disabilities. But being „special“ is not their biggest challenge. They also have to face the typical difficulties of growing up, forge genuine friendships, and define their life goals. The stories of Timo, Toivo, Uyangaa, and Mary Stella show how inclusive sports can positively influence the lives of people with disabilities and their environments.

All four share a common goal: participating in the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin in the summer of 2023. Their experiences are inspiring and demonstrate that sport is not only a competitive platform, but also offers an opportunity to gain self-confidence and strengthen social bonds. How will they successfully navigate this significant journey?
