INTO THE ICE

Screening in the Gut Eibenhof culture barn

In one of the most extreme landscapes on Earth, ice researchers risk their lives to understand climate change. Because they cannot collect all data with satellites, they descend into pure ice abysses over 150 meters deep. Danish documentary filmmaker Lars Ostenfeld tells their story with incredible suspense and spectacular imagery.

In INTO THE ICE, Ostenfeld follows three of the world's leading glaciologists into the ice of Greenland. All three agree that the Greenland ice sheet is the key to understanding the scale and speed of sea-level rise. Secured only by a rope, they descend into the darkness of the ice, not knowing what awaits them there, and search for answers to questions that affect us all: How fast is the Greenland ice sheet melting? What kind of future are we heading toward as the oceans rise? What can we do about it?

Campino lends his voice to this film as a voice actor.
