„Kingdom” in Bad Saarow

Together with the Artprojekt Group – one of the main festival sponsors alongside Daimler – WITHOUT BORDERS invited to the opening of the exhibition “Königsland” in the Kurpark Kolonnaden in Bad Saarow.

The painter Matthias Körner (*1954 Cottbus) and the photographer Alexander Janetzko (*1981 Altdöbern) have been travelling regularly to Uganda for many years to realize their artistic projects. Since 2014 both have been working on the film "Königsland”;, which tells the living conditions between nature and work, city and country of the East African country and is presented in the exhibition as a video installation on three monitors.

The opening of the exhibition, for which not only the Bad Saarow appeared in large numbers, was the unofficial prelude to this year’s film festival. After a tour in the presence of the two artists, the WITHOUT BORDERS team gave an insight into the festival programme. The exhibition runs until 15 September and is also open during the festival.

“Kingdom” – Matthias Körner and Alexander Janetzko place: Bad Saarow, Kurpark Kolonnaden, Seestraße 1, 15526 Bad Saarow
