FESTIVAL THEME 2022 ABOUT_TOMORROW

It is not only today that should determine our thoughts, our actions; it is the complex, often uncertain questions about our future.

Current topics such as migration, education and climate change, which concern us all collectively, will determine the festival programme of FILM WITHOUT FRONTIERS in 2022. And not only in selected and award-winning films, but also in panel discussions with prominent interlocutors, such as writer Ferdinand von Schirach, producer Gero von Boehm and actor Detlev Buck.

As a global society, we are facing huge challenges that we can only solve together. How do you get people excited about issues that we need to keep in mind for a liveable OVER_TOMORROW? What role do values and role models, demographic developments or the influence on social debates of influencers on social media play? And what do the new forms of work mean for us in terms of digitalisation?

FILM WITHOUT FRONTIERS wants to talk about the small and big questions of change. It is about different perspectives on life and the way.

The way we could lead it OVER_TOMORROW.
